"Franciszek Polkowski graduated from the Warsaw Technical School and then started to study painting, architecture and sculpture at the Moscow Strogon School . (..) In the academic year 1912/1913 he obtained his diploma in Moscow and returned to Poland where he practiced in the studio of the architects Franciszek Lilpop and Karol Jankowski ; in the summer of 1913-1914 he won a scholarship of a Society of Fine Arts in England. (..) Since 1929 he was associated with the Main School of Rural Economy as the head of the Department of Landscape Architecture and Park Studies and in 1932 he began his extraordinary classes as professor of the Department of Interior and Landscape Design at the Faculty of Architecture of the Warsaw University of Technology .(..)"
