Giovanni Guerrini studied at the Faenza Arts and Crafts School and at the Florence Fine Arts Academy under Adolfo De Carolis.. he dedicated himself to painting and Engraving and made his first Exhibition in 1908 at the Faenza Exposition... he was responsible for the decoration of several state and private buildings ; in 1915 he became professor of Architecture and Decorative Painting at the Ravenna Fine Arts Academy, job he maintained until 1929.. He attended most of the National Painting and Engraving Exhibitions, and from 1928 on he became very active also as a Ceramist..
