"José Alberto Saint Romain was born in 1909 in the Paysandú region... He studied Architecture and entered the TTG (Taller Torres Garcia) in 1942,where he had classes with the Master TG (Torres Garcia) himself ,until his death in 1949...He was also a pupil of the known artist Othon Friesz in Paris at the "La Grande Chaumiere" ... in the 60's and 70's, Saint Romain was also known for his work with large and beautiful murals ,of which we can highlight the huge fresco done for the 'Nº1 São Carlos Lyceum'... "
