Giovanni Lerario

[Italy] (b 1913/d 1973)


After the unexpected death of his Parents in 1924 , Giovanni was sent to Brother Francesco in the Missionary College of Rome where he was soon destined to enter the Assisi Convent...he joined the convent as a novice and in 1931 he attended the Philosophical and Theological studies and during this period he started to work in the illustration of  some Religious Magazines...He obtained the Sacerdotal ordination in 1936 and was already known as a skilled illustrator and designer...from 1938 to 1941 he studied painting with Giamattista Conti , together with his Religious Affairs...from 1945 to 1951 his painting activity was very intense with many Monumental Paintings in several Churches and Convents...
