Fritz Helmut Ehmcke

[Germany] (b 1878/d 1965)


Fritz Helmut Ehmcke graduated from 1893 to 1897 and  practiced in the exercise of his own profession, working as a lithographer in Berlin. From 1899 to 1901 he studied at the Berlin Museum of Decorative Arts ...From 1903, he taught at the Dusseldorf School of Applied Arts. He settled in Munich from 1913 to 1938 where he worked at the Munich Applied Arts School..(..) From 1946 to 1948 he taught as a professor at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts .. He worked with several Publisher's in the creation of a group of illustrations ...His Graphic Design work is currently known by the development of  letters and fonts, some of them available today in our Personal computers...
