Ludwig Hesshaimer

[Romania] (b 1872/d 1956)


Graphic artist and painter , he grew up in Trieste and beat his father's wish of a future military career. In Sarajevo, where he was to present an album with his own drawings to Archduke Ferdinand, heir to the throne ,he witnessed the murder. After the collapse of the monarchy, he attended the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts. His last homestead was South America. The artist's estate is located in the Sb. Library at Castle Horneck Gundelsheim. (LSS-WM) .. Best known for his work "The World War II- A Dance of Death".. Died in Rio de Janeiro in 1956..
