Giuseppe Cellini

[Italy] (b 1855/d 1940)

Important for his development as an Artist was his friendship with the Poet Gabriele D'Annunzio... he collaborated with the Magazine 'Cronaca Bizantina' and was a founding member of the group 'In Arte Libertas' with D'Annunzio and others...from 1889 to 1892 he lived in Portugal where he found in the Ocean and Maritime Landscapes the inspiration to several paintings and drawings..  He also worked as Illustrator of several books and done important work as  Interior decorator (of Palaces , Gallerias and Library's..) ; his brother Pio was a known Sculptor and Guiseppe made with him several experimental work with a large variety of materials..
