"After his studies at the Berlin Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin-Wilmersdorf, the illustrator and draftsman settled down as a freelance graphic artist and worked as a press draftsman. (...) He has designed one stamp for the German Reich Post in 1935...He acted also as a War Photographer and draftsman at the Spanish civil War in 1936 ... (...) His works "from the Spanish Civil War to the Russian Field" are published in the Kanterverlag under the title "Kriegszeichner" (1942) .. (...) In 1944, he returned to the eastern front, where he was apparently in Soviet captivity and was probably killed in a prisoner of war camp in 1955. (...) "
