Sir Robert Pearce Edgcombe

[Great Britain] (b 1851/d 1929)


Sir Robert Edgcombe was educated at the  King's College in Cambridge...there was no known special Art Education, because he spent his life working as a Lawyer ... he was also a Banking Company Chairman, and was even Mayor of Dorchester in 1891... but there are several indication in the Net,that give him Artistic skills, certainly part of his more private life...he was made Knight  in 1895, year when he also assumed the name Edgcumbe,  to mark his descent from Edgcumbe of Lamerton...
