Bernardas Bucas

[Lithuania] (b 1903/d 1979)


After he studied and graduated in several Lithuanian Schools, Bucas attended some Drawing classes with the known Sculptor Juozas Zikaras. and from 1926 to 1928 he went to Rome for further studies... in 1929 he was in Brussels , again prosecuting his studies.. after his return to Lithuania , Bucas went to the Army and from 1932  worked as a Freelance Artist..for many years he was Head of the Kaunas Fine Art Factory Art Council....Bucas has created sculptures, sculptural groups, statues, tombstones, reliefs, busts, paintings and graphic works. The early works are marked by the presence of Art Deco features...
