[Sweden] (b 1895/d 1959)
Sven Ewert was educated in Vienna 1906-16 and during this period , one of his Professors was the Austrian Engraver and Designer Ferdinand Schirnböck. He debuted seriously as stamp engraver of the Swedish postal service in 1928 and engraved almost all Swedish stamps until his death in 1959. In addition to the Swedish Post Office,Sven Ewert also engraved a number of stamps for the Danish Post Office.
