Raquel Roque Gameiro Ottolini

[Portugal] (b 1889/d 1970)




Daughter of the Painter Alfredo Roque Gameiro,she dedicated herself mainly to illustration and watercolor's..the first exhibition was in the Lisbon Fine Arts School, place where she was awarded with several prizes during her life..Lisbon and Madrid are among other places where there are permanent exhibitions with the work of Raquel Gameiro.
The Magazine "O Domingo Ilustrado" (1925/1927) also presented some of her work..

Constantino de Sobral Fernandes

Human figure (1902)
Brilliant student , Constantino Fernandes earned several prizes and medals during the days in the Lisbon Fine Arts School ;  studying first drawings and then historical Painting, In 1902 Constantino won a scholarship to study in the Paris Fine Arts School... he executed copy's of the Grand Masters Velasquez, Rubens and Rafael during his voyages to Italy, Madrid and Holand in 1905 .. It was with the painting of historical scenes that he distinguished himself , but all his virtuosity and sense of observation were better expressed in his Portrait Paintings... He made several exhibitions in the Lisbon Fine Arts School and we can highlight the importance of his work in the Portuguese Exhibition of Rio de Janeiro , 1908.

Frederico George

[Portugal] (b 1915 /d 1994)



Frederico George graduated in Architecture at the Lisbon Fine Arts School, after having initially attended the Painting course; in 1940 worked at the Portuguese World Exhibition as a painter.. during the 40's he made several modernist (Cubist) paintings..
Professor of Architecture at the Lisbon Superior Fine Arts School during the 50's .. Attended the 1st Portuguese Design Exhibition in 1971.. some great Architects such as Daciano da Costa and Antonio Sena da Silva have worked at his atelier.

Achille Ouvré

mostly known by the illustration of numerous books trough out the first half of the XX Century ,Ouvré was a Wood Engraver and made preferentially portraits of Artists and Historical personalities. Made his first stamp at the age of 62 and was fond of rigor, accuracy and attention to the minimal detail in the preparation of his works...
