Viggo Bang

[Denmark] (b 1885/d 1967)

Danish cartoonist , illustrator,  Bookplate and stamp Designer. Viggo Bang is especially known for his stamps. It first appeared in 1941, and in the period leading up to his death, he designed more than 40 stamps. His most distinctive mark in 1956 was released simultaneously in the five Nordic countries, shows five flying swans. The subject related to Hans Hartvig Seedorffs poem swans from the North.
