"Myrto Debard was a French Painter mostly known for her paintings representing the Tuareg's..born in a small village in the French Alpes , she develops from a young age , a pronounced taste for the Arts... (..) in 1913 her family arrived at Algiers, where she started her studies at the Fine Arts School...already in Paris, after wining a Scholarship , she continued to study , and worked at the Lucien Simon atelier.for five years (..) After her marriage , she arrived to Lesotho where she continued her Artistic career.. eager to voyage , she soon traveled to Guinea, to Ivory Coast, Mali and finally she arrived to Mauritania where she found out the Tuareg's that will leave a profound mark in her Art work...she then traveled to Senegal and established herself in a small island near Dakar, where she opened her Atelier...there she would accomplished her greatest works. (..) from 1937 to 1983 she exhibited in numerous expositions in Paris, Aix-en-Provence, Bamako, Abidjan and also Dakar....(..)"
