"Hans Fischer was a Swiss painter. He was well known as the author and illustrator of the children's book Pitschi and his nickname was Fis.(..) Fischer first attended the Ecole des Beaux-Arts industriels in Geneva and then studied in Zürich (..) his career was divided between graphic designing, illustration, cartoonist and even the designing of backstage sets for the 'Cabaret Cornichon'.. (..) In 1945 an exhibition of his work took place at the Berner Kunsthalle and In 1955 he was awarded a prize at the São Paulo Art Biennial. (..)"
