François Fauck

[Belgium][France] (b 1911/d 1979)

"Born Belgium , he was naturalized as French at the age of 18 to get a scholarship at the Paris National School of Fine Arts  where he got classes from Lucien Simon and Fernand Sabatté...always with Monetary help from the French state, during the years of 1937,1938 and 1939 , a new period of rewards and honors started , culminating in the 1945  'Prix Abd-el-Tif' and this turn out to be a turning point in his life with his moving to Algeria in 1947 to work as Director of the Oran handicraft Center...(...) He stayed always connected with the Algerian Handicraft until 1964. (..)"
