Max Buchholz

[Germany] (b 1878/d 1942)



Max Buchholz, painter, artist and engraver (born 13 February 1878 in Legnica ). He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin and Wroclaw. He was a teacher of Art classes and a member of the association of amateur artists of Gdansk (Danzig). (..)  He designed vignettes to a series of telegrams and postcards with famous citizens of the city: Johannes Hevelius, Daniel Chodowieckego, Arthur Schopenhauer."  He was also a great Stamp Designer...
