Jozef Aumiller

[Poland] (b 1892/d 1963)


"Józef Aumiller  was a Polish medalist and sculptor, designer of stamps and coins. 
He studied in the School of Applied Arts and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw ; until 1925 he worked in his studio, created reliefs , tombstones, statues, portraits and designs for Art in Metal. Between 1925 - 1939 he was the artistic director of the National Mint in Warsaw and from 1951 he was a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.; he made ​​numerous coins and medals, among many others -  The Polish entry into the League of Nations (1926), Wladyslaw Reymont (1926) and Vincent van Gogh (1962)."       ( Wikipedia
