[Portugal] (b 1967)
Studied Painting at the Lisbon Fine Arts Academy ,where he obtained the final classification of 18/20..He also attended Architecture at the Lisbon Technical University from 1986 to 1989..Possollo collaborated with the Portuguese Postal Service designing some stamps, and with the Portuguese National Geographic Magazine..
His work is characterized by an abundance of warm colors, with shades of silky shadows, and an almost photographic detail with high technical quality. His subjects are often mystical and iconography, though their approach to the representation of mythology beyond the traditional: the gods of ancient Greek and Roman The Catholic saints, the fauna and other mystical creatures are seen often in unexpected poses and attitudes ; also to note is the high erotic load of a part of his work with the representation of bodies often naked, always very beautiful and young.
He has participated in several joint and individual exhibitions and his works are represented in many museums and private collections.
