Waclaw Boratynski

[Poland] (b 1908/d 1939)


He grew up in Ryglice near Tarnow. Thanks to Father John Pabisa from the Monastery near Gostynia , young Boratyński enrolled in school in Gostyn, where he perfected his Designing ability. In 1928 he graduated from high school and attended the National School of Decorative Arts and Crafts in Krakow. In May 1929 there was an exhibition of his work, along with Stanislaw Szukalski, who returned from America. . He collaborated with the Cracow "Polonia" ,"Salon of Polish painters" and  during 1936/1937 with Poznan magazine "Rainbow", which illustrated and published his thoughts on art history .  In  1938 he started to design the Polish Bank Notes , Medals and some stamps and Postcards , until his death in 1939 during the Defense against the Russian Invasion...
