Florence Edith Cheesman

[Great Britain] (b 1877/d 1964)

Florence Edith Cheesman was sister of Major Robert Cheesman (Military, Explorer and Ornithologist) , working in Iraq during the British Mandate... in 1923 and 1924 Robert Cheesman went in a journey to the Arabian Peninsula, where he made significant advances to Science and Cartography in particular... during this time his sister, Our artist ,  was busy making Water-Colors about Iraq and it's beautiful City's and Landscapes... apparently, she made also some designs to Iraq stamps... Very little is know about Florence's life during this period in Iraq, before and even after..
