Sanchez Toda

[Spain] (b 1902/d 1975)


Born into a typical middle class family in Madrid on April 30, 1902 he entered the School of Fine Arts in Madrid ; Started working on the Fabrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre (FNMT) in 1924 , where he remained until his retirement. Designed and Engraved more than 100 stamps and most Bank Notes issued since 1937... He was Director of the National Engraving section of the FNMT .was also professor at the National School of Graphical Arts .
