Paul Theophile Robert

[Switzerland] (b 1879/d 1954)


After the high School in Neuchatel , Paul Theophile Robert studied for some time in the Neuchatel Academy, and worked for several months in the Clement Heaton Atelier...in 1898 he spent 6 months having lessons of the painter Eugene Burnand and after he continued his formation with his father until the end of 1899 ...from 1900 to 1907 he attended several painting classes in Paris, 'La Grand Chaumiére' and  the Paris Fine Arts School .. during this time he also received lessons from known painters like Jacques Emile Blanch and also traveled to Italy... 
"Theophile Robert was the first artist in the third generation. He earned a name for himself, especially in Paris, among the masters of the avant garde. Although nature plays a role in most of his paintings of nude models, landscapes and still life, he did not involve himself with flora and fauna as his father and brothers did. (..)"

Marian Konarski

[Poland] (b 1909/d 1998)


In 1928 he moved to Krakow where he started his high studies at the Fine Arts Academy.. he had lessons of drawing, Sculpture and Painting.. Konarski was expelled from the university in 1929 due to Political Activities but his Artistic Education continued in the "Underground"...he started to be active also as a Poet.. in 1939 he received a Scholarship and traveled to Italy and Austria for some time...During WWII , Konarski had a significant role in the Resistance against the German Occupation.. in 1948 he joined the Polish Artists and Designer's Association.. His works are exhibited in Polish Museums and are part of National and foreign collections...

Robert Weimerskirch

[Luxembourg][USA]  (b 1923)



"A prominent figure in the Houston art community, Robert Weimerskirch lives and works in Wimberley, Texas.  Much of his art, both painting and sculpture, is based on his "thoughts and improvisations," and rooted in classical themes.  A native of Luxembourg, Weimerskirch received his art education from the Brussels Royale Academie des Beaux Arts and the Academia di Belli Arti Brera, Milan.  Additionally, he has taught drawing and painting at the University of Houston; The Glassell School of Art, The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; and the Houston Art League."

Adomas Jakševičius

[Lithuania] (b 1908/d 1967)


Adomas Jakševičius was a Sculptor and Church Decorator...after graduating from the high School , he did not proceed his studies... his father Vincent Jakševičius , a renowned Sculptor , saw in him a Great Artistic Talent  and decided to personally manage his Superior Education...So Adomas take lessons of several Art disciplines, Art history, painting, Sculpture,etc.. in 1928 he designed and built the Freedom Monument  and helped his father in the following years...In the postwar years he created tombstone sculptures, religious paintings, statues of saints, decorated churches and was involved in several other Art activities...
