After a quick search in the Net, I found out almost 'zero' information about the Artist...no biographical data , not even the date of birth...from what I could see , Jean Marie Petey was an Illustrator mainly focused in the Design of Postcards and Posters...

Alec Fraser-Brunner

[Great Britain] (b 1906/d 1986)


 "Fraser-Brunner  made models and produced artwork for the new Fish Gallery in 1931. He was then employed part-time to work on the Plectognathi or Tetraodontiformes (trigger fish, puffer fish, molas etc) and he worked with the evacuated collection kept in the tunnels of Godstone Quarry from 1941 to 1944 during the Second World War. After his spell as editor of the Aquarist, he worked for the Colonial Office on a survey of the fish in the Gulf of Aden and then for FAO. He was appointed Director of the Van Kleef Aquarium (now demolished) in Singapore in 1956; in 1970 he became Curator of the Carnegie Aquarium (now also demolished except for a wall) at Edinburgh Zoo.[(..)] Fraser-Brunner is the designer of Singapore's iconic national symbol, the Merlion. The Merlion was originally designed for the Singapore Tourism Board as their logo in 1964."

Hans Tegner

[Denmark] (b 1853/d 1932)


"Hans Christian Harald Tegner, known as Hans Tegner  was a Danish artist and illustrator, best known for his illustrations of literary works by Hans Christian Andersen and Ludvig Holberg. Son of lithographer Isac Wilhelm Tegner, Hans studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts from 1869 to 1878. His first art exhibition was in 1882, featuring watercolor illustrations of Hans Christian Andersen's story The Tinderbox. His second, and last, exhibition in 1889 was a watercolor painting celebrating the 50-year jubilee of the Constitution of Denmark, and was bought by king Christian IX of Denmark. From 1883 to 1888, Tegner painted a series of illustrations for the works of Ludvig Holberg, his greatest artistic accomplishment. The second great accomplishment of Tegner, was his exquisite illustrations produced for the so-called international selection (Danish: Verdensudgaven) of Andersen's fairy tales, finished in 1901.Tegner was made professor at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1897... he illustrated a number of other books, as well as postal stamps, and the first 5-Danish krone note in 1898. Tegner  was the leader of Kunsthåndværkerskolen (a part of what is now Danmarks Designskole) from 1901 to 1917, and chief designer at porcelain manufacturer Bing & Grøndahl from 1907 to 1932. He died on April 2, 1932"

Antal Diosy

[Hungary] (b 1895/d 1977)


"Antal Diosy pursued his studies at the School of Applied Arts, Budapest, between 1910-15, . (..)  The artist immortalized his memories of the First World War in water-colours.and  painted figures, cities - Stockholm, Budapest - and landscapes. Diosy  was the founder of the Cenini Society - an association of artists under the influence of the Italin trecento (They organized art-exhibitions in Budapest between 1921-26. 1941-47) and was a professor at the School of Applied Arts ; since 1919 he participated regularly in exhibitions (1937: Paris World Exhibition: Grand Prix)."
