Mohammed Racim

[Algeria] (b 1896/d 1975)


Born in Algiers in 1896 in a family of Artists , Racim's gift for drawing was noticed since infant days...after a passage through the Algiers Fine Arts School , his Mastery in Manuscript Illumination Technics opened him new perspectives.. He went to Paris where he worked in the Manuscript Department of the National Library  , and also traveled to Spain and England... His works are exhibited through out the world... From the Independence on , Racim , specialist in Arab Calligraphy ,is the Founding member of the Miniature Algerian School..

Nguyen Van Tuh

[Vietnam] (b 1930)


Nguyen Thu was born in 1930 in Bac Thai, Hanoi, and was trained at the Indochina Fine Arts College during the period 1957 / 1962. He was considered to be an artist of the Viet Bac mountains. His drawing lines were soft but strong. He was applauded by his peers as the artist who most accurately captured Ho Chi Minh's portrait.
