Hermann Clemens Kosel

[Germany] (b 1867/d 1945)


Hermann Kosel was a Writer, Photographer, Illustrator and Graphic Artist...he was born at Temný Dul, Bohemia and soon in his life , his family moved to Braunau, Austria where the young Hermann helped his father as Assistant Bookbinder.. He was a very talented draftsman but all his attempts to  enter the Fine Arts Academy were in vain.. from 1889 to 1991 he attended the Vienna Graphical Education and Research Institute , before working in the Baron Rothschild's studio.. In the period from 1892 to 1903 he published several books, some of them with it's own illustrations..from 1903 he started working also in Photography... In what concerns to painting , he was mainly a Landscape painter..

Paolo Antonio Paschetto

[Italy] (b 1885/d 1963)


Paolo Paschetto was born in Torre Pellice..After his family moved to Rome, Paolo started his lessons in the Rome Fine Arts Institute.. His father was Pastor of the Evangelical Baptist Church and this fact opened many doors to the young Artist.. Soon in his Artistic life, he started to decorate Religious Buildings ( he continued this activity through his entire life..) and illustrate many Religious Magazines... He also produced several book covers.. However , he is mostly know by winning the design Contest of the Italian Republic Emblem in 1946/1948..

Gabriel Antoine Barlangue (1st Part 1936/1952 France Stamps)

[France] (b 1874/d 1956)


Born at  'Villeneuve-sur-Lot' , Barlangue attended the Paris Fine Arts School in 1887.. His teachers were Jean-Paul Laurens and Benjamin Constant for Drawing and Painting and Jean Patricot, Henry-Emile Lefort and specially Antonin Delzers in his Engraving studies.. his Artistic work, numerous and diverse was composed by portraits, landscapes, and scenes from daily and Religious life...
