Włodzimierz Zakrzewski

[Poland] (b 1916/d 1992)

 Polish painter, graphic and poster artist. He was a professor of Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, founder and director of Pracownia Plakatu Frontowego (Design studio)

Zakrzewski was an author of sociopolitical posters, landscape paintings (especially city landscapes of Warsaw and Paris) and figurative compositions. He was a co-initiator of socialist realism in Polish painting .

Ryszard Kleczewski

[Poland] (b 1888/d 1966)

Attended courses in drawing and painting at the Museum of Industry and Applied Arts in Warsaw, while still a high School student.. further artistic education continued at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts while working in the Department of Stained Glass Art.

Kleczewski was hired by the Graphic Works of Boleslaw Wierzbicki i S-ka,  as a graphic artist and since 1923 he worked at the State Graphic Works. In the years 1929-1939 he worked in the newly constructed building of the Polish Security Printing Works SA as a graphic artist and designer. He was awarded  many times for his work as stamp designer...  After World War II he worked at the National Security Printing .  

Richard Kleczewski was honored with the Gold Cross of Merit .
